Creamy bacon and mushroom pasta

Comfort food in minutes


1 or 2 rashers of smoked bacon

A few mushrooms


Half an Onion (red or white)

1 clove of garlic

Dollop of crème fraiche

Dried parsley


  1. Boil the pasta
  2. Chop onion and garlic and fry until soft
  3. Add the bacon and cook for a few more minutes
  4. Add the mushrooms and fry for two more minutes
  5. Add the crème fraiche and the parsley and stir
  6. Stir in the cooked pasta

Feeling flush?

Try adding some dried porcini mushrooms. Soak in warm water for 15 minutes, squeeze out the excess water and fry like normal mushrooms. Then add the mushroom stock with the crème fraiche, making sure its stirred well. A handful of rocket mixed in at the end also works well too.
