Mackerel pate

A yummy alternative to a tuna sandwich


1 mackerel portion

A dollop of crème fraiche

1 teaspoon of horseradish sauce

A squeeze of lemon juice

Dried parsley

Pitta bread


  1. With a fork, flake the mackerel into a bowl.
  2. Add the crème fraiche, horseradish sauce, lemon and parsley and mix together
  3. Toast the pitta bread
  4. Serve with salad

Feeling flush?

A big chunk of ciabatta also works amazingly with this meal.
