Tomato and chilli relish

A tangy topping

Makes enough to top 4 burgers


10 cherry tomatoes

1 chilli

Half a red onion

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp cider vinegar

1 tsbp brown sugar

200ml boiled water


  1. Roughly cut the onion and chilli into medium chunks.
  2. Fry in a little oil until soft.
  3. Cut the tomatoes into quarters and add to the pan. Cook everything for 5 minutes.
  4. Add all the liquid ingredients and the sugar and cook until everything has boiled down and formed a syrupy consistency. Add more water if needed.
